First Post and Hill Race of 2013

Well the new season is upon us, and I am focusing on my first Adventure which see's me Running my 4th D33SIDE 33, A nice Fast start to the ultra Season, meaning fast as the race is 33 miles of Flat path and trail, which seems to lead me into Running a little Faster than maybe I should and which I may not be capable of in the first Race of the season, However I don't think the 4th time will be any Different.

On Saturday I will be Heading over to the Pentlands to Run my 1st Carnethy 5 hill Race, This is a 6 mile course taking in 5 summits of the Pentlands and a climb of 2500ft. The Race attracts Over 600 Runners who toe the start line to face what ever the conditions on the summits can throw at them, and I believe there will be plenty of weather to Face come Saturday.

Races So Far for 2013

D33side 33m   March

Hoka Highland Fling 53m  April

Cateran Trail 55m  May

Glenmore 24hr Trail Race  September

Which leaves a Gap of 3 months June July August, I will need to have a look around for maybe something New or Plan something to help Focus over the 3 month Period.

  1. Good stuff!! Let's make sure to add at least two family-run-together events in 2013. One in Scotland and one in The Land of no Hills....
